Chianti Rufina Tour Group

Take a day to discover Chianti Rufina, its history, local culture and delicious wines.

Tour for maximum 8 people that can also be booked privately.

The tour starts at 10.00 am and ends at 4.30 pm. Meeting point in the center of Florence with transfer included.

You will have at your disposal an expert bilingual (Italian/English) guide sommelier who will accompany you throughout your visit.

The day begins with a visit to a 12th century castle, now a modern farm

• Visit to the castle courtyard and its historical cellars. You will learn about the history of the castle and its wines.
• Experience a tasting of olive oil and wine produced on the farm.

Lunch will be served in a family restaurant located on the estate

• Menu includes typical Tuscan mixed appetizers (crostini), two first courses, dessert, water, wine and coffee.

Visit to a second cellar, a small “boutique winery”

• Visit of the farm and the cellars. You will learn how wine is made, its complexities and difficult fermentation process.
• Tasting of an assortment of locally produced wines and olive oil (when available).
